  Reflection on Mindfulness Retreat The initial mindfulness retreat commenced with an introduction to the fundamental principles of mindfulness practice in counselling, which would greatly assist counsellors in aiding various clients. The individual responsible for pioneering this mindfulness practice was Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, a Tibetan native who was raised in Western countries following the Chinese invasion. Another crucial aspect of mindfulness involves perceiving our physical body, mental state, and the situations we encounter with clarity, enabling us to respond and cultivate clear perception.
